EEIBA: A Walk-In Shower for Vic

A simple grant eases life's problems

Vic Constable is a widower living in Cambridgeshire, having worked for many years for National Grid. Word came through to EEIBA, the Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association, from a retired welfare officer at National Grid, that Vic needed some financial assistance to convert his bathroom into a walk in shower.

He was having difficulties getting in and out of the bath. He had been successful with an application for a Disabled Facilities Grant from his local authority, but there was a shortfall in the funds required to carry out the conversion.

EEIBA got on the case and with help from National Grid, we were able to provide the balance to complete the job.
