Royal Mail employee gets help with funeral costs
From Donor to Beneficiary
As an employee of Royal Mail, Graham had regularly contributed to the Rowland Hill Fund, the occupational benevolent fund for all Royal Mail Group people.
Graham spent many years looking after his disabled wife before she died. During this time their savings had reduced considerably and he was worrying how he could pay the funeral expenses when she died.
In all the years he had been supporting the charity, he had hoped he would never need their help. But then, when life was difficult, Graham approached the fund for help, which was able to make a contribution towards the costs of the funeral.
