Is your charity providing information or services to individuals in need? Whether you are a cancer, health, old age, homelessness or a children's charity, you will often come across people in need who could need some extra help.
Did you know there are charities which can help individuals with the cost of essential items which the benefits they receive cannot cover? Benevolence Today was a campaign aimed at building links between the Benevolence Today coalition partners and other, non-benevolent charities and agencies, which, like us, help people who face difficulties in their life.
Many agencies and charities in the UK try to help people in need. What often does not work is the signposting between services.
Benevolence Today has been a campaign to improve this situation from the point of view of benevolent charities. By the end of the partners' joint work at the beginning of 2010 internal research has shown that benevolent charities now receive referrals from a much wider group of third party organisations than at the beginning of our joint work.
